Scott Hasse
Blue Dirt Farm, Blue Earth, MN

Scott Hasse is a sixth-generation farmer based in southern Minnesota, where he helps manage his family's 1,400-acre corn and soybean operation near Blue Earth. Since returning to the farm, Scott has led efforts to improve soil health through reduced tillage, cover crops, and integrated livestock systems.

In addition to the family operation, Scott owns and operates Blue Dirt Farm, a pasture-based livestock enterprise focused on regeneratively raised meat. He also works with Grass Fed Cattle Co. in Minneapolis, supporting direct-to-consumer marketing of grass-fed beef. Across roughly 100 acres of diverse crop and forage rotations, Scott raises cattle, heritage-breed pigs, and turkeys, with plans to expand his grazing operation in the coming years.

Scott is passionate about practical, soil-building approaches to farming and continues to explore innovative tools and systems that improve land health, animal performance, and farm resilience.
