GrazeHERS

GrazeHERS is a grazing education series designed for women involved in livestock and pasture management. The program includes online learning sessions and on-farm field days focused on practical grazing skills, soil health, and pasture management.

Virtual Fencing & Dairy Grazing


On-farm field day

May 19, 2026 - West Central Research & Outreach Center | Morris, MN


Join Dr. Bradley Heins for a hands-on field day exploring dairy grazing management and the use of Nofence virtual collars. Learn how virtual fencing can expand grazing access and improve herd management, with a focus on how these tools work in a dairy system.


Attendees will enjoy a farm tour and pasture walk to see NoFence virtual collars in action, gain insights on sustainable grazing practices, and have the opportunity to network with fellow farmers, landowners, and conservation enthusiasts. Representatives from NRCS and Nofence will also be on hand to share updates and answer questions. Light morning snacks, coffee, and lunch will be provided.


This event is ideal for farmers, landowners, and anyone interested in sustainable grazing and innovative livestock management.

Join Audubon Upper Mississippi River & MNGLCA for a day on the farm exploring how grazing lands in Minnesota can support prairie bird habitat.

Prairie birds are in decline, and Audubon is working alongside Minnesota grazers to support the landscapes they depend on. This field day offers a firsthand look at how grazing can be part of the solution.


Participants can expect a guided bird watching on working grazing land, Practical insight into grazing for prairie habitat Information on programs for farmers and landowners and Time to connect with others in conservation and agriculture

Virtual Fencing & Beef Grazing

Join farmer Scott Hasse for an evening exploring beef grazing management and the use of NoFence virtual collars. Learn practical strategies to improve pasture utilization, livestock management, and sustainable grazing practices on a working beef operation.


Attendees will tour pastures to see virtual collars in action and have the chance to network with fellow farmers, landowners, and conservation enthusiasts. Representatives from NRCS and Nofence will also be on hand to share program updates and answer questions. Light snacks and evening meal will be provided.


This event is ideal for beef producers, landowners, and anyone interested in sustainable grazing and innovative livestock management.

Grazing School

The Grazing School is a hands-on educational program designed to help livestock producers build practical grazing skills. Participants will learn grazing management, pasture ecology, fencing and water systems, and how to develop a grazing plan for their operation.


Cost: $50 members | $75 non-members

Grazing the Heartland

2026 NatGLC Bus Tour

Join us for an exciting bus tour through the stunning landscapes of Sioux Falls, SD, as we explore innovative grazing techniques while journeying through three states: South Dakota, Nebraska, and Minnesota. This unique collaboration with the South Dakota Grasslands Coalition, the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition, and the Minnesota Grazing Lands Conservation Association offers participants a chance to learn about sustainable land management practices and witness firsthand the diverse ecosystems that define the region. Throughout the tour, we’ll visit scenic locations that highlight the beauty of grasslands and the importance of conservation, making this not just a tour but an educational experience for nature enthusiasts and land stewards alike.
