LYND, Minn., Sept. 16, 2026 — The Minnesota Grazing Lands Conservation Association (MNGLCA) is entering a new chapter with the hiring of Todd Roggenkamp as its first full-time Executive Director.

Founded in 2009, MNGLCA is a grassroots, farmer-led nonprofit dedicated to preserving, enhancing and expanding Minnesota's grazing lands while strengthening the profitability of the agricultural businesses that depend on them. Through education, mentorship, technical assistance, networking and partnerships, MNGLCA connects producers and conservation professionals to advance sustainable grazing across the state.

For more than 15 years, MNGLCA's work has been carried forward largely through dedicated volunteers and part time contractors. The addition of a full-time executive director gives the organization new capacity to build on that foundation, strengthen partnerships, diversify funding and reach more grazing producers across Minnesota.

Roggenkamp brings more than 30 years of experience in education, conservation and nonprofit leadership. His career includes extensive work in education, fundraising, project management and organizational leadership. Most recently, he served as Assistant Director of Education for Safari Club International Foundation and previously served as Executive Director for Long Lake Conservation Center.

Roggenkamp is known for his passion for conservation education and the wise use of natural resources. In his new role, he will lead MNGLCA's efforts to expand educational opportunities, strengthen its statewide network and support producers in implementing sustainable grazing practices.

Roggenkamp said he is excited to join an organization with a strong grassroots foundation and a clear mission.

Roggenkamp holds a master's degree in Education with a curriculum development emphasis from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and a bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Sciences. He also holds a certificate in Executive Director Leadership.

He resides near Breezy Point, Minnesota, with his wife and their three daughters. He is active in volunteer activities and enjoys hunting, trapping, fishing and reading.
